I discovered paradise by being lost. I know the border country very well between Hay-on-Wye and Ludlow and I was motoring around and I like to take single track roads and I was taking single track after single track and the scenery was getting more and more sublime, both splendidly Welsh and lushly Herefordianly English and I turned and I chanced upon a little Hamlet called Huntington that had one of everything. It had a little castle, a little pub, a little post office. Time had stopped around about 1925...I had the most wonderful time and I rented a cottage there for about 20 years.
